How members consent to text messages from Order of Mithras
Order of Mithras operates an SMS notification program for its members. Members opt in to receive text messages from Order of Mithras about club dues, events, and announcements. Messages are sent from our verified toll-free number. Opt-in is optional and is not required for membership or for using the Mithras Mobile app. The SMS setting is off by default; a member must actively turn it on.
How members opt in
The opt-in control lives on the member's Account / Notification Preferences screen in the Mithras Mobile app (iOS and Android) and in the member portal at orderofmithras.com. To opt in, a member:
- Signs in to the Mithras Mobile app or member portal.
- Opens the Account screen and finds the SMS Notifications section.
- Reads the disclosure shown below the toggle, then taps the toggle to turn SMS notifications on. The toggle starts in the off position.

By enabling SMS notifications, you agree to receive text messages from Order of Mithras regarding dues, events, and club announcements. Msg frequency varies; approx. 30 msgs/year. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.
Program details
- Sender: Order of Mithras, Inc. (verified toll-free number).
- Message types: dues reminders and deadline notices, event and meeting reminders, annual ball notices, and officer announcements. Informational only — not marketing.
- Message frequency: varies; approximately 30 messages per year.
- Cost: Msg & data rates may apply.
- Opt-out: reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe, or turn the toggle off in the app at any time.
